Introduction To Lasers In Dentistry

Course Description:

Lasers are widely accepted in dental practice today. While laser technology can help clinicians improve treatment outcomes, they are not a panacea and contrary to many manufacturer’s claims, they will not solve all your problems. The purpose of this course is to cut through the marketing and disinformation and learn what role lasers can play in today’s modern dental practice.
This course is designed to help clinicians understand why the physics behind lasers works and how these tools can help improve treatments outcomes when applied correctly. Dr. Parker will review many treatments that can be done with a laser including using fractional laser therapy for snoring and airway challenged patients; surgical applications like implants, vestibuloplasty, and tongue ties; general restorative procedures like troughing and cosmetic improvements; periodontal applications both surgical and non-surgical; and TMD disorders.
